Learn to communicate with your own animals
“Just become quiet, still, and solitary, and the world will offer itself to you to be unmasked; it has no choice.” ~Franz Kafka
The most exciting breakthroughs of the 21st century will not occur because of technology but because of an expanding concept of what it means to be human. ~John Naisbitt
I teach regular workshops, both in person and via the phone in “conference call” teleclasses (see schedule of events or call for more information). I also offer individual teaching sessions: private, one-on-one tutorials in animal communication - over the phone! Animal communication is traditionally taught in a workshop format, which is a truly wonderful and effective option for those who can travel to the location of the weekend workshops. For those who can’t, or who want to see what it’s like first, these teleclasses or individual teaching sessions are an affordable and very effective alternative. Please call for details!

Our problem - may I include you? - is that we
don’t know how to start, how to just close
our eyes and let something dance between
our heart and our lips. We don’t know how to
skip across the room only for the joy of the leap.
We walk, we run, but what happened to the skip
and it’s partner the gallop, the useless, imaginary
way we could move through space, the horses we
rode before we knew how to saddle up, before we
had opinions about everything and just loved
the wind in our faces and the horizon in our eyes.

What to expect from an animal communication workshop
What should I expect to “get” from this workshop?
We only have one day in the introductory course, but that is enough for each of you to begin to experience the thrill, and the profound challenge, of animal communication. I will gently guide you through a process of opening to your own ability to understand the animals. What should you expect? Expect to settle yourself into a safe and relaxed workshop environment, close your eyes, and find yourself effortlessly conversing with animals you have never met before with utter confidence and fluency. Likewise, you should expect to close your eyes and find... a dull, silent and leathery void. Blank screen. Nada. You should expect to begin a conversation with a decrepit Pomeranian named Hugo, only to have him tell you his favourite pastime is hunting antelope. Or playing tennis. Expect to ask a cat named Belle how she feels and her reply to be a vivid close-up of a hairy blue spider laying eggs. Expect all of the above. All are likely, and all are part of the fun! Setting out to learn again to trust our subtler senses is a bit like setting out to ride a strange, headstrong horse with no saddle or bridle. Most of us fall off a lot! But the landing is very soft.
By the end of the day you should certainly expect to have gained a deeper, experiential understanding of what animal communication is all about. You’ll have tried your hand at communicating with a few animals you’ve never met, and you’ll have witnessed a roomful of other brave souls try the same. Even if your first few efforts are exasperatingly blurry, watching timid, uncertain Polly across the room suddenly “break through” into her own abilities can be both thrilling and reassuring. The camaraderie of Level 1 groups can be wonderful.
You should also expect to be very tired! The focus required to do this kind of work can be quite exhausting at first. Don’t plan to attend any meeting or big parties the evening after the workshop.
Do I need to be an “animal person” to learn this?
Nope. Anyone wanting to exercise their intuition and deepen their relationship with their own amazing senses will enjoy, and be well stimulated by, the challenge of learning animal communication. Animals are simply wonderful to learn on. We know our pets’ personalities very well, so it is clear when someone’s “got it” and when their mind is doodling. Say you ask a beagle who he is, and he shows you a picture of himself cowering while a large calico scratches his nose. When the dog’s person reports that he is indeed a timid soul, and that she does have a crotchety calico cat, you know that was “it.” You did it! When you first walk this path, those concrete, real life validations are simply euphoric, and very, very important.
Can ANYONE learn to communicate with animals?
Yes. I learned how to do this (really well!), after displaying no apparent natural ability at all! Many other professional animal communicators will tell you the same story. All humans have the necessary sensory apparatus in place to understand this ancient language. Any one who is sincerely open and wanting to learn, can be taught. Period. The ability to communicate with animals comes easily to some, and slowly to others. But all can learn.
Life shrinks and expands in proportion to one's courage. ~Anais Nin
What should I bring?
Please bring a notebook to write in, your lunch, and photos of your own animals (or animals you are well acquainted with)! Photos of several different living animals you know well, if possible-dogs, cats, horses, birds, hamsters, bunnies, any breed or species. You will NOT be communicating with your own animals in the workshop (in the beginning it is most difficult to clearly understand your own animals). Others will communicate with your animals, and your feedback, as someone who knows the animal well, will be crucial.
Can I bring a pet with me?
There is usually room for a limited number of well socialized animals to attend. But please check with me first! It would be wonderful to have some animals there “in person” (besides my crew) for people to practice with. Do bear in mind, however that we humans will be doing an awful lot of sitting and talking, so it will not be the most thrilling environment for, say, an energetic young pup. Also bear in mind that you will be wanting to concentrate, and that might be difficult if your dog is pulling on the leash trying to play with (or devour) Zoe across the room! If you do bring your cat/dog/bunny/lizard/bird with you, please also bring a crate he or she can retire to safely, if need be.
